      We also want to give you a brief but more personal introduction to the people behind Absolute Productions and Media's awesome wedding videography. We enjoy getting to know each couple through the process of creating their wedding videos, and we thought it would be fun if you knew a little about us too.

JAMES AND MARIANNA PLAYER

      My name is James, and my wife is Marianna. (What a pretty name, right?) The two of us lead every aspect of your wedding video from couples' consultations to filming to editing, and we are proud of our great team, delivering the absolute best wedding videos available in Banner Elk, North Carolina. We guarantee every video meets the quality standards we have come to be known for, and we always enjoy the opportunity to meet every bride and groom.

      Our own wedding over 10 years ago inspired us to become wedding videographers - unfortunately, because our video turned out so poorly. We tried to save budget-wise by hiring an amateur, figuring he could at least do better than a random family member, but I think even my 80-year-old Grandma could produce a better video! The results were shaky, blurry, mute, and pitiful - our beautiful wedding day captured like this!

      Disappointment led to conversations with other couples - we wanted to know if their wedding video was actually decent. Unfortunately, many of them had similar stories and experiences. Marianna and I felt the calling to wedding videography, and set about to get the skills to start a unique wedding video company offering videos couples would be thrilled with. We have grown a lot since we started filming in 2006. Our wedding movies, as they have come to be referred to, are like Blockbuster hits, starring the bride and groom, and were so wildly popular we had to create a second company to handle the business - Player Wedding Films. Absolute Productions and Media has continued offering the highest quality documentary, "as it happened", wedding videos available, so that couples of every budget can have a quality wedding video.

      Our wedding video business takes up the majority of our time, and we find it very rewarding, but we value our family time as the most important. We have two wonderful sons, Matthew and Daniel, who are a blast and a joy. We're so lucky to have them, and love watching them grow (although it happens way too fast!). They are so different in personality, are two years apart, but thankfully get along well (for boys). Marianna and I have a variety of interests, but not much time for extracurriculars after weddings, family and friends.
