      We'd like to take a minute and introduce ourselves on a more personal level. We really enjoy giving each wedding video our personal attention to detail and meeting our unique brides and grooms, so we hope you will enjoy "meeting" us through this page today.

JAMES AND MARIANNA PLAYER

      My name is James, and my wife is Marianna. (What a pretty name, right?) The two of us lead every aspect of your wedding video from couples' consultations to filming to editing, and we are proud of our great team, delivering the absolute best wedding videos available in Mooresville, North Carolina. We guarantee every video meets the quality standards we have come to be known for, and we always enjoy the opportunity to meet every bride and groom.

      We have been married for quite a while now, no longer newlyweds. Looking back, it's funny on one hand, but sad on the other - a disaster at our own wedding sparked our interest in wedding videography. We, like most couples, were trying to cut as many corners financially as we could, so we hired a cheap, amateur videographer. We had chosen an expensive photographer, and figured we didn't need much for a video, just a set up a camera and let it roll - how hard could it be? We soon found out. Well, I shouldn't say soon, since it took us several YEARS to get the videographer to give us our video. And we understand why he didn't want to give it to us, as it was NOT something to be proud of - the visuals were shaky, blurry, dim, bad lighting, and the audio, what audio? You mean you actually want to hear your vows? Sorry.

      After being so disappointed we began talking to other couples about their experience with their wedding video and it was very similar. It was then and there that Marianna and I decided that we would do something different and break free from the mold of your typical wedding video company. Since we began filming back in 2006 things have come a long way. We have developed a product that is like no other wedding video and is referred to by the brides and grooms we work with as our wedding movies. Our wedding movies are offered under our second company name, Player Wedding Films. We also have developed a very high quality documentary product which is offered here at Absolute Productions and Media and even though the style is far simpler than our wedding movies, the documentary videos allow all couples the opportunity of a quality wedding video no matter their budget.

      Wedding videographers don't have a lot of time for extracurriculars, even though Marianna and I have a variety of interests, we spend our weekends at weddings and our weeks editing massive amounts of footage and meeting with couples interested in our services. The time we do have, we value as precious spending with our family and friends. We have two beautiful boys, Matthew and Daniel, who are two years apart. They are absolutely a blast to be around, and of course we love them dearly. They are a lot different, personality-wise, but thankfully they love each other and tend to get along for the most part.
